Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some deep woody bourbon barrel notes, some vanilla and Cognac notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some vanilla against deep woody bourbon and Cognac notes with warming alcohol notes. Body is pretty full with an oily texture and good carbonation with some easily discernible alcohol notes. Solid BA stout/barleywine mix with a nice level of complexity but maybe a tad too much alcohol coming through.
