Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with light retention and minor lacing notes. Aroma of sweet choclate notes with some very strong woody bourbon/vanilla notes and some charred oak notes. Taste is also a complex mix of chocolate notes offset by some strong woody quality bourbon notes with some vanilla notes. Body is pretty full with oily texture and medium carbonation with warming alcohol notes. Solid BA stout with a nice level of complexity and you can easily detect the quality barrels used in this one.
