Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color barleywine with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes and caramelized malt with some deep woody bourbon notes with light vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt with some chocolate notes with some deep bourbon notes and vanilla notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with light discernible alcohol notes. Enjoyable BA barleywine but Cognac notes are more difficult to notice.
