I may be a bit biased but I really love this beer. Caramel and bread on the nose with a bunch of spicy hop notes following up. Medium bitterness with a nice clean finish.

Beautiful amber gold color with significant white cap and lacing.
Aroma of rich malt and spicy, flowery hops.
Taste on entry is sweetly malty with a restrained sweet sense that I'll call semi-dry. Hop firmness quickly follows with something I can't quite describe. Did they use Cluster hops in this? Perhaps as that was the original variety used in California Common beer but whatever their using is tasty. The flavors combine well and last through the finish with a touch of nuttiness in the aftertaste.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
Very enjoyable beer with enough going for it to have a wide appeal. Very SN Pale like but reigned in a bit, more restrained perhaps with stronger emphasis on the malt. Quite good and worth seeking out.
