Appearance: Pours a clear, medium to deep orange color with a strong and foamy white head. SRM of 9-10. (4.00)
Aroma: Mild aromas upfront of pale malts, simple. Slightly bready and grassy. (4.00)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of pale malts, crisp pilsner malt. Some smooth bread. A bittering yeast and lightly grassy. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Appropriate carbonation. A bready, but dry mouthfeel. (4.00)
Compared to Summit Dakota Soul 7/29/22: Pours similar. Milder aromas. More bittering and grassy yeast. Less smooth and buttery malts. But Dakota was old, so Dakota didn't drink like usual.
Compared to Bahaus Wonderstuff 7/29/22: Pours a darker color. More bready, yeasty, grassy, and bitter. Less sweet bread, salt, and citrus.
Compared to Great Dane Peck's Pils 12/2022: Pours darker, milder aromas. More bread, grains, grassy yeast. Less sweet lemon citrus and butter. Dryer and cleaner.
Overall: A spot-on Czech Pils. Nice bready and yeasty flavors. Bittering yeast, slightly grassy. Nearly no citrus. Holds true to the Czech style and doesn't go American hops here. Nicely done and very standard. (Rating: 4.05)

Bottled 3.22.19. Hazy unfiltered gold, visible carb and lace, compact head.
Aroma is bready with a lager yeast aroma. Taste is assertively hoppy, grassy, herbaceous, and spicy Czech Saaz hop character. Bready malt base comes through as well and it finishes dry, almost resiny. Light bodied though substantial. Hoppier than most of the style, it’s pretty good stuff.

Clear rich gold color with white cap.
Aroma of sweet malt and floral, spicy hops.
Taste on entry is hop forward yet malt makes a stand with a bready sweetness that isn't really sweet, rather that's the impression. Hops add floral, spicy elements which carry through and linger in the aftertaste. The hops are sharp, bracing and quite prominent yet they taste sophisticated and cultured rather than bitter.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
Very good rendition on the Pilsner style.

Iowa Brewing hit a home-run with this Czech Pilsner. Grassy, herbal aromas, with a dry crackery flavor finishing with the peppery notes of the the traditional Saaz hop. Dam si jedno pivo procim!

Sampled barely a month past the bottling date. Attractive appearance, with a thick, soapy white head sitting atop a crystal-clear amber-colored body. Head settles rather quickly, leaving scads of streaky lacing. There is a strong vegetal character to the aroma and flavor profiles, with notes of carrot, celery, parsley, and tomato juice. (This may be due to my peculiar perception of the Saaz hop.) Lots of earthy, peppery spice and lots of bitterness atop a grainy and slightly caramelly malt base. Brewer claims 42 IBU, and they're all there. The light-to-medium mouthfeel is enhanced by the carbonation. A pretty good beer overall, although a bit more time in the bottle might take a little of the edge off.
