Andrew Moray fought side by side with William Wallace during Scotland’s struggle for independence at the Battle of Stirling Bridge where he suffered wounds that would lead to his death later that year. We honor this unyielding spirit with a Scotch Ale that was aged in single malt barrels from Cedar Ridge. Moray is full bodied and smooth with subtle notes of chocolate and residual sweetness on the finish. This beer is perfectly paired with a crisp winters eve, and freedom! Sláinte!

12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 12/8/20, had 5/19/22. Obtained as part of a FOBAB 2021 to go purchase.

Pours a darker amber, cloudy, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating head with no lacing. Aromas of whiskey, malt, caramel, raisins, some oak, brown sugar. Flavors of whiskey, caramel, malt brown sugar, vanilla, light oak. Smooth, a good medium body, appropriately carbonated on the low side.

Great barrels, expressive aromas and flavors, a pretty good base. Very enjoyable.

Opaque medium brown body with a thin tan ring. Big caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and earth aromas with mild scotch barrel. Taste is sweeter too, dark fruit, caramel, slight toffee combine with bitter chocolate, earth, scotch, dark oak and with a second wave of distinct raisin. Feel is lighter for the style but the booze warmth is pleasant, smooth enough and chewy. Nice wee heavy for a cooler evening
