This traditional German hybrid style beer which uses a German ale yeast fermented at a cooler temperatures to impart less fruity esters in the beer. It is brewed with Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich malts for a rich and malty biscuit flavor and aroma. With a touch of German Tettnanger hops for a bit of spice. Drink one, it's damn good! Prost!

On tap at the brewery; served in a tasting glass. Clear reddish-amber color, with a white head. Biscuity malt on the nose and palate, with a bit of a spicy hop note. Medium bodied, with some pleasant bitterness on the back end. Not a lot of experience with this style, but this is an excellent beer.

Taproom pour. Served chilled in a snifter glass.
Dark amber colored body. Beige head becomes a thin cap and medium high ring. Leaves behind a partial wall of lacing.
Aroma is closest to a sweet malt.
Taste has a medicine flavor, but malts and hops are present and in balance. Later the flavor turns more sweet molasses and woody.
Medium mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Good carbonation.
A little rough around the edges, but balanced.
