81 Bay Brewing "Charter #7"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 08/06/20" and sampled on 12/24/20
$4.89 @ ABC Fine Wine & Liquor, Wildwood, NJ
Look: Cloudy golden-orange body; average-sized head of white. Standard head retention and lacing.
Smell: Sweetish and grainy malt with citrusy and apple-like hops. Dry hopped, it has a strong enough hop aroma but at the same time it's nothing that will blow you away.
Taste: Full and rich with notes of strawberry, orange, apple, pear, passionfruit, and mango. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry with strong notes of apple and pear lingering.
Feel: Slightly astringent. Medium in body but seemingly slightly fuller due to all of the extra proteins present. Gently effervescent.
Overall: A very full flavored IPA with some interesting flavors (strawberry, pear).
