As a point of reference, this brew is now 4.7% rather than a whopping 5.4% as it is here. Large two finger head, clear straw colour, well carbonated. Loads of lacing that leaves clumps of froth right the way to the end. Aroma is vanilla, a bit eggy. Taste is quite gritty malts, medium body and creamy. Packs a hoppy punch at the end for a Helles. Mouthfeel is lingering bitter and dry. Good one.

Seems this is being brewed again, now 5.4% abv. Half litre bottle, very pale colour, large head, retention OK. Initial noble hop aroma gave way to some malt. Tasted hints of apple, earthy almost Dunkel style malt. Slightly grassy. Well carbonated, crisp, smooth enough. Interesting Helles, more complex than others but not really one to throw back on a hot day.

Deep yellow color, without any bubble. White foam, rich, creamy. Beautiful.
Malty smell, and honey, but still quite fresh.
The taste is quite honeyed, but not cloying.
Full taste, malty.
More easy aftertaste, with a hint of hop.
Full beer, drinkable.

BB 04-01-06. Nice white head and a beautifull golden beercollor. Totaly clear with it. nose is good also giving you lots of sweet malts and that with fine lemonlike hoparome. Taste is maybe even better with full maltyness, very nice clean bitterness and nicely backed by the alcohol. Yes this is a wonderfull brew as i like my helles to be! Wonderfully balanced and best freshest quality. Yes this is a bavarian Helles at it's best; a beerstyle people often think negative over but has some great examples, as IMHO this one is.
