Appearance: very slightly cloudy with an orange-copper colour. The head is off-white, foamy and kind of large with impaired retention and a fair amount of lacing.
Aroma: grainy malts and sweet caramel with some alcohol.
Taste: sweet malts, toffee, slightly bitter and an odd candy off-flavour.
Mouthfeel: smooth, low carbonation, average alcoholic feel despite the high ABV (8.6%). Medium body.
Finish: long aftertaste.
Overall: I did not enjoy this one. An unappealing flavour made it difficulty to reach the end of the bottle. Ive tasted other Lauterbacher beers and this one is by far the worst one.
