A natural pale beer, as it should be. The Lauterbacher Natur Hell remains unfiltered and therefore has a particularly full-bodied character. Refreshingly hoppy and pleasantly malty.

Well this is interesting- less sweet and more bitter than typical Helles. Unfiltered, flowery, creamy, bready. Moreish with medium carbonation. Somewhere in-between Czech pilsner and Helles? very nice.

from the bottle. Pours clear gold. Foam drops qucikly. Pronounced bready/yeast smell, a bit similar to pilsner urquell. Taste follows the smell. Not sweet for a helles. Dry finish. Medium carbonation. Full body for a hell. A bit more on the side of funny czech or franconian lagers rather than light, watery and sweet Bavarian helles. A decent beer.

Pours a fairly clear yellow with thick, fluffy head.
Smell is bready and a bit yeasty and floral. Notes of citrus, wheat and some apricot.
Taste is crisp, clean and bready with some floral hints. Creamy with a solid bitterness and notes of citrus, wheat, rye and some spice.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific lager with great body.
