A: Pours a brilliantly clear golden/orange color. A dense white head forms with good retention and lacing for days.
S: Doughy baked bread, biscuit, toasted malts. Light herbal and earthy hops, with some fruity esters mingling in there.
T: Follows the nose, with the doughy baked bread. Toasted malts, herbal hops, there is a bit more of a spicy hop character here as well, and light fruity apple esters. The earthy/herbal hops leaves a nice bitterness lingering.
M/O: A medium body with crisp carbonation at first. This smooths out to be soft and smooth, that finishes wonderfully dry. Yeah, this is really easy to drink and come back to.

A wonderful example of a pale ale from across the pond. I love the delicate fruity esters, that balances the malts and herbal hops perfectly. Something that is very much missing when American breweries try their hands at the style. I just want to have this on cask now.

Pours a frothy foamy 1.5 finger head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, crystal clear golden tan color

Nose brings grainy biscuity malts with some toasted notes, corn, cereal, a bit like a corn tortilla, sweetness, light herbal hop

Taste starts again with the malt, cereal, grain, straw, biscuity and toasted notes again, more of the maize corn tortilla like, fair sweetness, med herbal earthy hop notes with med to lighter bitterness, very light fruity note, dry semi crisp finish with a big spicy hop bitterness biting and lingering

Mouth is med bod, med carb

Overall not bad, I like the malt profile, hops start nice but get a bit too spicy bitter on the finish for a golden ale

Pale gold under a large white head that left streaks of lacing. Subtle, bready aroma with a modest nudge from the hops. Taste is balanced with nothing too extreme nor too weak. A light lingering bitterness adds some character. Smooth, softly carbonated, light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel.

A classic lightly honeyed golden ale with pleasant bitterness. Citrusy with lemon and orange peel. Subtle apple, apricot and, prune. Herbal and woodsy hops. Toasty bread. Lower carbonation than I prefer. Pretty good overall.

Can simply labeled 1 Pint and stamped BBE: 05FEB27 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 5.2% ABV. The beer pours bright light amber, golden when back-lit and has plenty of light khaki head and sticky lacing. The aroma is subtle with pale malt and woodsy hops. The taste is bittersweet pale malt with more woodsy and black tea notes from the hops before a firm, moderately bitter finish. The feel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, excellent pale ale. Nicely balanced and infinitely drinkable. There is a note on the can that this one is brewed and canned by Sullivan's in Stratford, CT.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is gold, chill haze, head is off white with fine bubbles that presents 1/4 inch thick, head dissipates to thin top with lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is bread, biscuit, light caramel, hint of honey, earth and grass hops, some light ester character.

Taste is s bread, dough, toast, earth, herbal notes, lighter honey, and subtle fruit and esters.

Mouthfeel lower carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness: this would be very good on cask.

Overall a very good pale ale in the classic style with malt forward flavors but prominent hop character.

(review from March 2023) Tasty golden with good balance/mouthfeel, a big grainy/malty/earthyish/bready-biscuity-toasty flavor and a hint of caramelly sweetness in the finish. Very quaffable indeed.

Rich brown bread with a grapefruit rind drying finish. Toasted malt aroma. The bitterness surprised me, but reading the description of this style, it's right on!

Leah likes it, but i would prefer more of a malt backbone.

Good English Pale Ale. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a very light, mostly clear copper color and a medium sized foamy white head. Aroma and taste included some caramel and bready malt, mild bitterness and an herbal/earthy aspect. All subtle, but well done. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with just the right amount of bitterness for an English Ale. Very enjoyable.

From a can poured into a tall Hefe glass.
A gold pour with a decent head.
The malt flavor is a little sharp, rather than smooth, the toasted caramel flavor is there though. Maybe a slight carbonation bite at play.
Mild bitterness as expected for an Irish ale.
The finish is a little tangy.

I don’t see a date on the can, but I suspect this one is showing some age, esp since it was warm from the store.
