22oz bottle to goblet.
LOOK: dark black, above average frothy off white head. fades to a smaller head. medium retention.
AROMA: coffee and mulch, wood and some bourbon less and later.
TASTE: straight oaky wood is the strongest flavor; then coffee, bourbon, roasted barley, mulch all fill in the blanks. Tasty, but a little overly bitter; even beyond the coffee.
FEEL: medium to full body. coffee probably thins this out a bit, but could use a thicker base to absorb the complexity of flavor.
Not overly impressed, but a nice beer. got tougher to drink further along, but this is after beer-wine-wine-beer, so the night is getting short.
