Can to snifter. Looks like caning date is 06/25/2019, so pushing 18 months in a can. Only realized this after drinking through most of it.

LOOK: Thick jet black. No light. small beige head that fades relatively quick. poor retention.
AROMA: coffee is strong and roasty. very nice coffee aroma. I also get little hints of raisin, fig, barley,...maybe even the lightest wisp of raspberry.
TASTE: medium roast barley, coffee, light touch of raisin, but not the dark fruits noticed in the aroma. touch of a stale grains flavor which now makes sense that I have read the canning date.....that being said, at 13% this should be able to carry 18 months and not fade on the malt.
FEEL: full body, very flat even considering for a thick stout. thick with a touch of creamy.

Very nice. My first from jughandle, (though this was from a bottle shop, which explains the shelf life), though hopefully
no the last. 13% abv is pretty well hidden for the record also.

Rich near-black pour. Decent head and lacing. Almost flat appearance after sitting a little while.
Nose is coconut and plenty of roasted coffee and cocoa nibs.
Taste is coffee, semi-dark fruit and silky Swiss-like chocolate. Brownie notes after some dangerously-easy sipping.
Creamy/ medium body-feel with a mild bitterness in the finish. The flavors remain balanced throughout.
A terrific surprise in a can from this brewery I had never tried before while visiting NJ. I don’t recall the last time I’ve had a better coffee-centric RIS.
