A north east style imperial IPA brewed with El Dorado, Vic Secret, Waimea, and Denali and then double dry hopped with more El Dorado, Vic Secret, Waimea, and Denali giving this DIPA a pillowy mouthfeel with notes of tropical and stone fruit.

Great double NEIPA. Imperfect, but great. They need them in bottles, not cans. Had a burning sensation in my mouth from residue at the bottom of the can, and the taste reminded me of the mercury fillings in my teeth I once had. I suspect the excessive organic matter from this beer style melded with the aluminum of the can more dramatically at the bottom. Aluminum easily rubs off and mixes with whatever interacts with it, even if the residue isn't visible, such as food baked on aluminum foil.

The crests a bit over one finger, good density, just off-white color, moderate stick to the lacing. Full purée look to the liquid, beyond hazy to full opacity, good brightness to the yellow color and you can see active bubbles slide up the glass side. There’s a flat character to the nose, leafy herbal matter, white pepper, lemon peel, and roof tar, there’s no sense of movement in the nostrils nor interplay between the elements, easy to miss the melon, peach, apricot scents, doesn’t smell especially tropical. Full-bodied with a creamy heaviness to it, expands across the palate. Most prominent is lemon and lesser grapefruit citrus, brings needed bite. More green grassy than dank, pine and a touch of cracker at the end. Here the fruit adds in pineapple, kiwi to the orchard pit fruit base, decent tang. Carbonation level is high, again more to the creamy side than prickle. Checks most of the boxes but taken as a whole falls short of a rebuy. (Canned 6/16/20)
