A traditional German style pilsner with a nice light body provided by German Pilsner malt. A crisp finish from the extended cold aging. And a nice hoppy aroma from Noble Hallertau hops originating in the old country. This beer is incredibly refreshing yet at the same time very interesting. Drink like a German!

a very solid pils here, and like the other beers i has from accomplice while i was in town there, its well made but without being unique really in any way. i thought that flattered their belgian wit more than their ipa, and this one comes in somewhere in between those two, a very drinkable, even flavorful pils, but like its copying numerous others, lacking its own identity. thats more okay in this style for me than in ipa, where i want some more differentiation. slightly fuller malt profile here, some european character to it, but biscuity and just a shade richer and bigger than many. the hops seem noble to me, more bitter than anything but with some light herbal green tea sort of complexion, faint lime too. the yeast is what makes this for me, its patiently lagered, nice and crisp, tidy but without being flavorless, and just really drying and traditional, faintly doughy, old worldy without being rustic, and with the minerals that come through here its very authentic, just like their belgian wit was. drinkable and bright, clean and refreshing, dug this one!

On draught at Wyoming's Rib and Chop House.

Pours a lightly hazy straw gold with a small head of foam, decent lacing.

Smells of Pilsner malt, nice hoppy kick, clean overall.

Taste is Pilsner malt, light bitterness, some toasted malt, again, clean overall. Pretty close to a Czech Pilsner but not quite there.

Body and carbonation are good.

I would drink this again.

On-tap at Accomplice Beer Company, Cheyenne, WY

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of lemons and pilsner malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of lemons and notes of pilsner malts.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The lemony flavors in this pilsner were unusual, but actually a bit pleasant.

This--there's a lot going on here.

It was billed as a German pils but it's named after Russian leaders?

It is, upon inspection, absolutely not a German pils. It's as American-tasting as you can get: grainy and minimally hopped with a very, very rough back end. It's drinkable, more or less, but more resembles an early batch of a homebrew than something that should be sold commercially. American breweries have recently gotten a whole lot better at crafting pilseners, and this one is simply not up to snuff by today's standards.
