Copenhagen 16/2 2022. 33 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Black can with punky, silver letters giving the name of beer and brewery.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 0,5 cm thick, lumpy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, malty backbone of an odor mingling with more subtle sour, citric scents. Pale malts, honey, caramel and toffee. Light whiff of citrus and lemon.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is flat and sweetish.
Solid but a a tad too sweet and flat for my taste.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of doughy, biscuity malt and citrus, tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit and mango. Taste is a good balance of doughy, biscuity malt and fruity, slightly herbal and earthy hops, with citrus and tropical notes of grapefruit and mango, as well as hints of herbal accents. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, mango and herbal accents lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this looks more like a NEIPA, it tastes more like a classical IPA. Which is fine though, as this is what it's supposed to be according to the brewer despite the rather hazy look. Although there are some quite fruity, almost juicy elements to it, it's also rather bitter, with light herbal and earthy accents as well. Although the fruitiness is not that vibrant and a little hard to define, there's definitely a good balance of fruity and bitter, herbal notes going on here, making for a refreshing and easy-drinking IPA that perhaps lacks just a little refinement but I would buy again if it was available at supermarkets for 2€.
