Genys Brewing Co. "Tamsus Miškas"
Notes: This is a Baltic porter from a craft brewery in Lithuania. It's a cloudy dark brown beneath a short head of light tan foam. The smell is chocolatey and nutty. The taste remains chocolatey and nutty but it's fruity as well with notes or raisin and apple. It's softly roasty with a median bitterness of around 30 IBUs, and it finishes dry, lightly fruity, chocolatey, and roasty. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the fuller side, and smooth with a moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation. It's certainly not the best Baltic porter that I've ever tasted but it is decent.
