I tried this at the brewery. It poured a nearly opaque dark with ecru head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of chocolate. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. Definite chocolate answer roast presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's a solid porter.

Newest WOW brew and a new brewery in Hamilton.
From a growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate and enjoyed in a snifter. This awesome
porter pours a pitch black with a fantastic head of light brown foam that settles
to a thick ring, thick layer, and features some darn nice lacing. Nose of mild coffee,
chocolate malts, light char, deep roasting, and sweet malts. Flavors nail it for all the right
notes for the style----rich roasted malts and subtle char mingle with coffee and cocoa
with a touch of light herbal hop note on the rear of the palate with sweet caramel malts
and roasted goodness. Vern nice mouth feel---smooth, roasted, medium light carbonation,
and a char touched finish. Overall a PLEASURE to try and a welcome addition to the brewing
landscape that is the Cincinnati area. Excellent!
Cheers to Municipal Brew Works---can't wait to try a stout from you.
Well done!
