Celebrating our third year at Shannon Drive, this bold DIPA was battered with Columbus and Centennial, finished with Centennial (kettle) and Columbus (hopback) and dry hopped with Simcoe, Mosaic and Centennial.

16 oz can, dated about 2 months ago - but has been in my fridge for a few weeks
pours a clear, dark golden color, thick white head. good head retention and lacing. big well rounded hop aroma. flavorful mix of hop flavors in the taste as well - piney, dank, citrus, floral, touch of honey malt. fairly bitter, how I like a DIPA. medium bodied, coats the tongue a bit.

Got this from spelingchampeon. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/7/2018. Pours lightly hazy golden orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal lingering warmth of 10% after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Wonderful Columbus, Centennial, Simcoe, and Mosaic hop profile. Extremely juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; sizable malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and very impressive style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

At 10%, I was skeptical- but it drinks smooth with tons of floral notes. Nicely balanced and very enjoyable. I just wish it came in 8 oz cans (instead of the 16). I gotta work tomorrow, ya know...

This beer is ridiculous, ridiculously good.
If you like high abv ipa's with a boozy hop kick in the teeth then this one is for you.
Have no doubt you will know that you are drinking a 10% double IPA with this one.

Very hop forward, but nicely balanced. I am a fan of Oliver Brewing as it is local to me here in Maryland and I can get cans that are so fresh, just days old. This may be on of my favorite offerings from them yet. Dark amber, smells of hops a big head that melts down to a ring. I like the high ABV and it might be silly but I love the name...
