I got a late start on NBS (Week 774) & I did not finish up my DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure as planned. 8=( Further, I promised that NBS (Week 775) would be dedicated to the wonderful beers sent to me by @jkblr who seems to have a real handle on my drinking habits. CANsparency is key in these things! As a result, I am going to CANcentrate over the next few days on eradicating everything that would have CANbined to form the finale of the DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure. Sit down, strap in & hang on. It's gonna be a wild ride! Oliver BC is becoming my Hydra in that every time I think that I am done with Steve Jones' brewery, seven more CANs Pop! up to take its place! 8=O
From the CAN: "Kettle Sour Ale with Pineapple, Passion Fruit, and Lemon Peel"; "Slowly, Slowly"; "Created in collusion with Manor Hill Brewing, this Kettle Sour Ale is fermented with Pineapple, Passion Fruit, and Lemon Peel."; "Oliver Brewing Co. has been proudly brewing craft beer in Baltimore, MD since 1993."
I slowly, slowly Crack!ed open the vent on this retiree, only to be surprised by a slight spritz across my fingertips. It seems that in colluding, they had filled this craft CAN right to the brim! I returned the favor in the form of a slow, steady, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. It rewarded me with the formation of two-plus fingers of fizzy, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with moderate retention. Color was a beautiful Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, enticing The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Mammon & Midas to materialize from wherever in the world they were celebrating NYE 2019/2020 & clamor for a taste before hastily disappearing. 8=O Nose had a definite sourness and while the pineapple was there, it was not really prevalent. Hmm. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not terribly removed from it, either. The taste was more tart than sour with the pineapple & lemon giving it the bulk of its tartness. I did not really get passionfruit, but there was such a general tartness that CANything was possible. Finish was tart & dry, very refreshing, actually. YMMV.

Lots of pineapple and tart passion fruit flavor. For being only 4.9% abv this is a very flavorful and full-bodied sour ale. No off flavors and really nice overall.
