I got a late start on NBS (Week 774) & I did not finish up my DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure as planned. 8=( Further, I promised that NBS (Week 775) would be dedicated to the wonderful beers sent to me by @jkblr who seems to have a real handle on my drinking habits. CANsparency is key in these things! As a result, I am going to CANcentrate over the next few days on eradicating everything that would have CANbined to form the finale of the DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure. Sit down, strap in & hang on. It's gonna be a wild ride! Oliver BC is becoming my Hydra in that every time I think that I am done with Steve Jones' brewery, seven more CANs Pop! up to take its place! 8=O

From the CAN: "Hazy India Pale Ale"; "To: Craft Beer Drinker East Coast, USA"; "Action Required Drink Fresh"; "Dry-Hopped with El Dorado, Mandarina Bavaria and Galena"; "Drink Fresh"; "An India Pale Ale generously Dry-Hopped with El Dorado, Mandarina Bavaria, and Galena. Drink Fresh. Enjoy Responsibly."; "Oliver Brewing Co. has been proudly brewing craft beer in Baltimore, MD since 1993."

My in-person trader, @tone77 likes it when the person who adds the beer also reviews it. I like when that person does both of those, PLUS adds a picture! I have done all three in this case.

I was actually rather anxious to put Oliver BC & 2019 in my rear-view mirror at this point so I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN (what should finally be) my last slow, gentle C-Line Glug of their beers for the year. It worked out well, forming two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with very good retention. My deCANting led to it being only a mildly-hazy Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose was redolent with a mélange of fruits ranging from sweet melon to bitter grapefruit! Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste had a pleasant grapefruit bitterness balanced by the other fruit flavors, especially of CANteloupe and honeydew. I may not have adhered to their admonition to drink it fresh, but it did not seem to have lost much in the interim. Finish was semi-dry & very easy drinking as the New Year approaches in the Eastern Time Zone. See you next year! YMMV.
