My DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure CANtinues to resurrect itself as though I had never finished. Oliver BC is becoming my Hydra in that every time I think that I am done with Steve Jones' brewery, seven more CANs Pop! up to take its place! 8=O At least, it is all in the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm).
From the CAN: "True Respite"; "Double Dry-Hopped Hazy India Pale Ale"; "Cashmere, Pacific Gem, Vic Secret"; "OB*CO since 1993"; "Made In Maryland".
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. It sort of erupted on me, forming two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with excellent retention before I could back down & off. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled like tropical fruit salad! I used to get excited about this sort of thing, but a) it has become old hat & b) the addition of old skool PNW hops really charges up the Southern Hemisphere hops. You CAN probably imagine - mango, papaya, guava, passion fruit. Eh. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was more of the same - loads of tropical fruit, low on bitterness. Eh. Finish was semi-dry, but I just was not feelin' it. I hope that others have the ChANce to drink, review & rate this one since I am the first & hopefully, not the last. YMMV.
