Pours a hazy orange color. A moderate foam head rapidly dissipates.
The nose immediately evokes notes of sweet alcohol spices, butterscotch, honey biscuit , caramel and toffee. Hops aromas emit notes of passion fruit, mango, peach, pear, grapefruit, orange and light pine.
Sweet and boozy with lots of alcohol spice and heat. A big flavored malt base is doughy and chewy, and evokes bready, biscuity and caramel notes. Fruity hops flavors evoke notes of passion fruit, mango, peach and grapefruit, orange cola and juicy bubblegum. There is some resiny bitterness and piney spice, however, I don’t feel it’s enough to balance out the cloying and saccharine sweetness.
Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The finish was wet with a boozy warmth. The carbonation was moderate.
This was boozy with cloying sweetness throughout. Frankly, it was a bit of a chore to drink. It gives you a buzz for sure, however, I don’t see myself seeking this out again.

Drinking like a local while on tour in Maryland, got the opportunity to crack a can of this fine elexir.
Poured into a Flor de Cana snifter.
Solid head, nice lace.
It smells fruity, not sour-ish, not pineapple-y.
Very balanced, not at all sweet as TIPAs tend to get, a true 1 hitter.
Sipped it through and had another. The 11% ABV is really sneaky!
Right fine Wednesday night special!

T: following the nose. very tasty. bit of hoppy bitterness on the end. the alcohol is there but controlled.
F: thick and luxurious. very nice
O: tasty. it's a winner! another worthy offering from Oliver. Keep it up!

16oz tall boy can cracked and poured into a beer advocate glass
L: Hazy pale orange with a moderate head, minimal lacing or retention
S: Ripe tropical fruits but dominated by passionfruit, followed by alcohol and grassy hops. Without the quadruple dry hop I'd assume this beer would smell much more alcoholic
T: Follows the nose, alcohol is present but doesn't dominate. Hop profile still present in the taste
F: Thick and luscious. Coats the tongue in a pleasant way and leaves a lingering fruity alcohol flavor. Warms the mouth and stomach.
O: This is well executed, I was surprised because an 11% Imperial IPA is a very hard balance to strike but this one is done well. Expensive but worth trying once.

A - Very hazy and almost opaque with a soapy white lacing ring camped out on top.
S - Passionfruit, light citrus and grape aroma. Finishes with lingering tropical fruit and some delicate fruit rind in the back of the throat.
T - Passionfruit, citrus, tropical fruit, and alcohol. There's some light residual fruity sweetness on the back end that lingers.
M - Big body and chewy. Finishes wet with warming in the back of the throat from the ABV.
O - I'm always a sucker for a Triple IPA but there's also a tipping point where there's a fine line between booziness and hoppy flavorful. Am I complaining? => Nope. Recommended and you be the judge as I sit back and enjoy the rest of this beer.
