Barrel fermented Golden Sour on Twenty Valley Riesling.
Appearance - Pours a clear golden straw with three fingers of bubbly white head that quickly dissipates.
Smell - white wine and other vinous aromas, wine barrel, oak, lemon, pineapple, peach and nectarine, white grape juice, hint of earthy and floral hops, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - starts off with the white wine, vinous aromas, wine barrel, and oak. Then it quickly goes into the white grape juice, lemon, pineapple, peach, and nectarine. The hint of earthy and floral hops come through next followed by the bready malts. The brew is finished off by the earthy yeast.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes tart with the vinous aromas, oak, and fruits lingering.
Overall - An enjoyable sour that isn't too tart for my palate. This one is well done and makes for a pleasant treat.
