Bold and full bodied, this Double IPA is bursting with tropical notes of mango and pineapple, balanced by a smooth and subtle sweetness.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $4 and change. Canned September 1, 2022. Bench's homegrown Centennial hops are one of the 4 hops use din this brew.
Appearance - Reasonably hazy yellowy gold brew with a finger and a half of sparkling white head. Plenty of loose sediment floating around in the glass too. Very good head retention and traces of loose spidery lacing.
Smell - Mango and pineapple combo, sweet and tropical with a fairly robust nose.
Taste - Lots of pineapple a little mango sweetness and then finishes more bitter with a little hop resin. Solid malty backbone and taste is not too harsh given the 8% ABV.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied with good, expressive carbonation. Finish is a touch prickly and pretty interesting.
Overall - A rather good DIPA, it's harder to stand out these days, but hoping that this remains in Bench's lineup as it nails that pineapple and mango combo better than most of the other local breweries. If that's your thing it's well worth a purchase.

Brewed with Citra, Idaho 7, El Dorado and their own home grown Centennial hops.
Pours hazy blond with a rocky, everlasting head that drapes the glass in lace. Citrus, mango, guava, lemon drop candy in the nose. The taste is intense grapefruit rind, tropical and floral hops and cookie dough malts in the back. Full bodied with medium carbonation and a mouthcoating sensation. High bitterness and some residual bready malts in the long finish.
A nice DIPA with plenty of hop complexity and a certain old school brashness. Worth a try.
