Well, this beer calls itself "Good Night Moon" although probably can't really be called that due to the book. Also, they call themselves "America's first all imperial brewing company" while I can't really deny that, it's really hard to believe. However, my first from this brewery, a canned Imperial Milk POrter, very unique... no date on the can though.
Pours a gigantic frothy foamy creamy rich mocha head that hits a couple fingers as I stop pouring, fades at a med to slower pace lots of sticky lacing, pretty much pitch black beer.
Nose brings a little smokey note, burnt milk and lactose sugar, burnt dulce de leche, a little roasted malt, toasted brownie batter, expensive Swiss milk chocolate, little biscuity cookie dough, lots of rich creamy chocolate, but there's a hint of a sulfur component in there strangely, although the more I nose it I'm thinking that sulfury thing is actually an under-attenuated beer when it was canned and continued to ferment in the can and now it's a little yeasty thing.
Taste brings more burnt milk, lactose sugar, creamy milk chocolate, again lots or rich expensive creamy milk chocolate, the creamy center of a Lindt chocolate, more burnt dulce de leche with a little smokey note again, roasty flavors and that smoke is really adding a strange twist although not necessarily in a good way, a little alcohol perfumey flavor but not much burn, mild brownie batter and bicuity notes, a mild metallic note too likely from the big roasty flavors and touch of alcohol perfumey character, then it dries a bit on the finish and brings some bitterness, spicy earthy bitterness that seems to clash a bit with the rest of the beer.
Mouth is rich creamy like melted milk chocolate, lighter carb somehow, a little tingle of booze.
Overall not very impressed, there was way too much going on, clashes, a mild sulfury thing and metallic thing, then clash of hops and everything else, perfumey alcohol, and smoke was just kinda strange. There were some bright sides too, so drinkable, but def needs some tuning.

Poured from a 12 ounce can, this is a densely colored beer, darkly opaque, with a fine caramel colored head. The aroma is confusing, pleasant, and appetizing, a bit like an upcoming meal delivered on a plate. The can says 'milk' porter, and there is a tangy cheese flavor, almost like a feta cheese, along with sweet roasted malts and a benign bitter finish. The high abv of 11% is well hidden in the flavors of this beer. I would purchase another 4 pack.

Super dark beer and pretty thick. On the nose it smells like moist herbs and espresso. Tastes like a coffee porter with a heavy dose of espresso. Great overall dark beer!
