16 oz. can

Pour hazy foggy amber orange with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells sweet and boozy with some toasty caramel malts, mango nectar, overripe papaya, sweet guava, ripe pineapple, juicy passionfruit, melon, lime zest, orange citrus, grapefruit, with floral resinous earthy herbal grassy pine. Taste follows with sweet boozy toasty caramel malts, mango nectar, overripe papaya, sweet guava, pineapple, passionfruit, melons, lime, orange citrus, grapefruit, with floral resinous earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and slick with moderate carbonation. Overall a nice IIPA.

Poured into a Teku glass- an orange, hazy pour with lighter wisps of what I'm assuming is yeast or hop matter? The white head fades quickly. The aroma is loud citrus and tropical fruit, what I imagine is the standard for the NEIPA style. The taste is a toned-down version of what I expected from the smell: some citrus, and hints of the tropical fruit, but not really a whole lot. The bitterness present somewhat drowns out the fruit flavors, but is not resinous- it reminds me of some of my early homebrews, oily and sharp, acidic. It is medium to light bodied, creamy, and has moderate carbonation.

The aroma is nice, but the taste does not deliver for me, reminiscent of a homebrew. It's not the worst I've had. The first beer I've had from these guys, and they seem pretty new, so hoping they can improve from here.

Thanks to DustinGalvin for this 16 oz. can sent as an extra in a recent trade. Purty can, but no visible canning date. Boo.

The pour is an orange that looks like it was going for haze, but hit gridlock just the other side of opaque. Plenty of head. The nose is citrus, melon, & spring flower, but it’s very light.

“V” reminds me immediately of that bad ’80’s alien invasion series - I wonder if I can find that on Netflix. This has extreme melon all over it & I wonder what hop imparts that, because it’s wicked strong. Mid-palate comes lime, low-moderate bitterness, flowery perfume, & the hint of Chanel lingers after the finish. There’s something weird, like munching on a Crayola that’s been left in a puddle too long, that detracts from the simple niceness. Half the can is enough.

Nice melon punch, weird kindergarten dankiness, oddly light on the nose. Pretty good beer.

First brew from these locals, here we go. Claims of a juicy Imperial IPA.

A- Tallboy pours into my chalice with a golden body which is somewhat hazy in comparison to many other modern IPAs, hazed but not milky. The head has a silky and foamy consistency with decent retention. A belt at the sides allows spotty lace to stick on the glass in small quantities.

S- Juicy hops indeed. The hops are mostly of the tropical and stone fruit sort with mango, pineapple, cantaloupe, peach and papaya coming in strong with a zesty sort of earthiness, spicy, floral and citrus notes beyond that. A hint of bubble gum, melon and dankness in there while the yeast and grains are mostly quiet sans slight bread and cereal hints.

T- Takes quite the u-turn for me from the aroma and reminds me of a homebrew with an abrasive sharp citrus oily bitterness and some pale fruits coming on strong from the yeast. A bit boozy as well. No idea how the aroma could be this much different but much of the tropical fruits are lost here with minor hints of them trumped by the aforementioned flavors. Just a harsh mix of flavors.

MF- Medium overall thickness in a body that has a fluffy and foamy texture, slightly frothy. Carbonation is rather high and seems to accentuate the mix of booze and harsh bitters. Ends with grapefruit oil bitterness squeezing the taste buds.

A very good tropical hop aroma somehow morphs into a sharp and abrasive flavor with a harsh citrus oil bitterness decimating the palate with some hints of booze. This is the most drastic example of this phenomenon I have experienced.

To be honest, I had never heard of this brewery before I saw a can of it today; all IPA cans need to dated IMO and this one was not; very good New England IPA, amazing head that lasted a long while

Poured from a can inch high fluffy head that dissipates to lacing. Fairly cloudy gold color
Smell is citrus and hoppy
Mouth feel was pretty smooth and not very bitter. Finishes with a slight acidic bite.
I liked it and it was easy drinking for a DIPA not as tasty as I had expected but as good as a lot of the easier to obtain beers. Worth a try

Tall can...no canning date info to be had....tsk tsk tsk....just sayin

From the can "A juicy imperial 5-hopped IPA" "Includes hops sourced locally in the Pioneer valley, Massachusetts, USA"

Typical DIPA presentation and moderatly cloudy.

Sniff brings to mind mild resiny hops, and a hint of citrus...

On the palate its more resiny hops, moderate grapefruit and a bit of understated "juicyness"....decent to middle of the road quality DIPA...nothing amazing by todays standards...but respectable and worth a try
