Imperial chocolate milk porter with a sublime roasty flavor with notes of coffee and cocoa. Strong, bold, and delicious with South American coffee, and chocolate malts offering hints of roasted flavors that enhance the caramel flavors of a traditional porter. The addition of lactose gives this London porter a creamy feel while maintaining the subtle hop character expected in a robust porter.

Impressive 3-finger dense beige head. Slow to recede, although it leaves less lacing than expected. The liquid is deep, dark brown where light shines through the very edges of the glass.
Dark chocolate aroma. Some malt with a bit of chalkiness.
Strong semisweet cocoa start. Decent body but with an ample carbonation level. Some faint cream to the taste. Ultimately, it is not very sweet despite the start. The aftertaste is very quick considering. Also, the alcohol is nearly hidden making this a very deceptive drinking beer (at 11% abv).

Purchased at Wegmans, Warrington, PA. $17.99/4pk, 16oz cans
Pours a deep, dark brown color. Mostly to totally opaque. A long lasting, beige colored foamy head on the initial pour.
Aromas of roasted malts.
Flavors of burnt chocolate, toffee, coffee, roasted malts and caramel. Very smooth and creamy. Mildly sweet but not cloying, well balanced. The ABV is well hidden for an 11% brew.
Fine bubble carbonation, creamy mouthfeel.
My first beer from Greater Good and an impressive brew. Well crafted and a beer I’d gladly purchase again…cheers!

16 oz can acclimated to 50°F and poured into a goblet. (Recommended by beer advocate)
Pours an extremely saturated brown to the point of being essentially black, highlights don't form, but instead appear as if shining a light on something opaque. Produces a 0.5 finger British khaki head, consisting of fine bubbles. This collapses relatively quickly and leaves a film of lacing that slowly retreats, leaving a ring and few splotches.
Initial aroma is strong coffee, my brain says specifically espresso, heavy Notes of caramel and sweetness are right behind. Notes of baking chocolate are present, too, with what send like notes of cola and vanilla?
After agitating, the primary aroma becomes a heavy kefir or yogurt bacteria strain.
Initial taste before swallowing is sweet caramel and roasty malt, sweetness persisting, and a cola taste developing.
After swallowing I'm hit first by some bitterness, then somewhat bitter, bright, freshly cut grass followed by some sweet caramel backed by cocoa powder. Then by a surprising amount of smoke, followed by honestly kind of a mashup of everything I've tasted so far plus roasty malts.
Aftertaste consists of that same grass on the top middle and front of the tongue, as well as sweet caramel. Only close to the end did I notice the alcohol content, it's apparent in the back of the throat while swallowing, not unpleasant and no burn, though.
Mouthfeel is very thick! There's some creaminess to it, with maybe some gloss? After the smoke, there's a feeling that reminds me of the what it feels like after drinking soda and opening the mouth, kind of dry tongue getting oxygen feeling. The carbonation, of which most fades quickly, has some froth, with some, larger, seltzer-like bubbles strewn around.
Overall It's where I thought it would be, not overcomplicated and very very solid. I expected to find more coffee in the taste and honestly was disappointed to not. The smoke that I found was terrific, and the caramel was surprisingly strong, but very pleasing. I was surprised to find grassiness, especially so abundantly clearly! I can't say it was a great match, but I wouldn't say it clashed badly, I'm always happy to find surprises.
Likely to buy again as an occasional sampling, though honestly I don't see myself recommending it.

A very rich and bold porter! Very deep opaque ebony color. Strong coffee and roasted malt aroma with milder hop and cocoa. The abv is noticeable at first but not overpowering. The cocoa flavor is more pronounced on the palate with a coffee aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a little aggressive but not off putting. Very fine carbonation. I found this to be quite enjoyable!

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, spotty beige head. Roasty, milky aroma. Taste adds chocolaty flavors, mild bitterness. Creamy, Simple and well done.
