Shine On is new for 2019 and features some of our favorite hops that we used in 2018. We’ve dialed this juicy, New England-style IPA in to just over 8%, but it goes down like your favorite 5% beers. Our unique hop blend provides a delicious mixture of orange and grapefruit paired with subtle notes of tropical island fruits. All of that on top of an unfathomably soft mouthfeel and smooth finish. This beer exemplifies what we do best: big beers with tons of flavor. Cheers to expanded horizons in 2019!

It's not a good first impression. After a pint can's contents have been emptied into a clear glass liter mug, this looks like another overly starched and barley malt deficit offering. It's head is puffy and stark white. The color of the liquid is a dark straw-amber with orange hues and it's pretty opaque. The aroma is fruity, not citrusly fruity, more like tropical fruity. Basically, that's how it tastes. An unavoidable taste reference to mango is primary. This is sweet, maybe too sweet at the opening. The hop aspect is only during the finish and then it still seems fruity, only citrusy instead. Some of the bite is, no doubt, in part due to the 8.4 % ABV. But, there's just not enough to counterbalance the sweetness. It's almost hard to believe that there isn't some sort of fruit juice in the mix. Even as the beer in the glass dwindles, there's no adjusting to this particular taste. The glass lacing is weak, but the body is smooth, rich and supple. There's no list of ingredients on the label, but wheat alone can't provide a body like this. The alcohol content probably contributes to a mild bite at the finish, but overall, it's a nice part of the taste and mouthfeel. This will be better enjoyed by those that like IIPAs that taste like fruit juice.

Pours a hazy orange with a small long lived white head and a ton of lacing.

Smells of floral hops and citrus.

Tastes of slightly tart grapefruit, sweet orange and peach. The finish is sweet and then slightly tart.

Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth slightly syrupy mouthfeel.

This is a very juicy very drinkable NEIPA. It is unusual in that there is almost no bitterness in it.

Drinks like a sour IPA. Prickly mouthfeel. Citrusy but almost in a way that tart lemon or lime juice was added. Not sure if it's off or not, but if tart IPAs are your thing check it out. Just wasn't enjoyable to me.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Lightly hazed (clearer than expected) light golden pour with big foamy white head. Great lacing.

S: Citrusy... grapefruit and grains.

T.F: Sweet up front... too much so. Nonspecific citrus and fruit. Honey and booze which overwhelm the hops. A bit of summer stone fruit. Modest bitterness. Creamy carbonation. The finish is boozy.

O: Don't get the super high ratings... sweet and boozy. Not terrible but certainly not a favorite. Any of their 'Pulp Daddy' series are way better.

Excellent can which picked up at AJ’s Beer Warehouse in Rochester NY.
Beautiful full pour. Rich yellow amber clear with nice white head.
Nose and taste were slightly unusual but delicious. Feel was superb... soft foamy.
Overall one of my favorite finds in 20/0

I agree with the other positive reviews. This has a nice orange color and fruity-citrus flavor. I initially thought the hop flavors were overwhelmed by the fruitiness of the beer. But I've come to enjoy the balance and this is now one of my reglars.

“Why weigh on a sunny day?”

Can poured into a teku. One finger off white, big bubbled, rocky foam cap, very good retention, very good lacings over a hazy orange liquid .a few streams of carbonation on the sides . Settles to an island

Aroma is malt, tangerine, grapefruit, citrus

Taste is citrus grapefruit

Very smooth mouthfeel, low sudsing , abv well hidden , hop nibble on the finish

Good beer

16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours a burnished orange with a hazy clarity, albeit it not as hazy as most NEIPAs, with a tight, half inch, bright white head that slowly sizzles and pops and recedes. Nose expresses a bright spritz of citrus. Taste expresses notes of candied citrus, tropical fruit, artificial sweetener and a hint of malt. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a bright carbonation and a mild acidity. Overall, a solid offering but nothing really stands out.

Look is a straw gold hazy, head not retained long
On the nose, musky melée of fruit, orange, citrus, pineapple
Taste is smooth, mouthful of light bitterness, balanced with caramel with that melée of fruit, orange, citrus, pineapple
Feel is smooth and natural carbonation
Overall, this is not a cheap ale, but it is one to savor and sip and can be made to last and enjoy
