Deepah Shade of Soul is a 6% IPA that is loaded up with hops from Deepah Down Undah! Dry-hopped heavily with Galaxy & Vic Secret hops, originating from Australia, and supplemented nicely with Mosaic. The result is a citrusy medley of pear, peach and passionfruit. Finishing with a smooth, refreshing finish. Deepah Shade of Soul pours a bright, vibrant yellow hue and displays a gorgeous medium-haze body that will keep you asking for more! Poured into a tulip because I thought this was a New England styled IPA.
The appearance was an opaque yellow/white color with a finger's worth of white foamy head. This fell off delicately to leave a mild semi-foamy lace.
The aroma had some white pepper, some pineapple, some white peach, grassy hops and a little bit of lemon rind.
The flavor wanted to yield to the combination of the white peach and pineapple but slightly brought in a subtle balance of white pepper to grassy hop tones. Mild aftertaste of white peach flesh and pineapple sliding into the peppery to grassy notes (very slim to practically none).
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. What's so nice with this feel is that it does a fine job of meshing the peach semi-sweet super mild stickiness to an ever so subtle grip with some bitterness. Nice well balanced finish of white peach sweetness and grassy hop grip.
Overall, I'd say a pretty nice in between AIPA or NEIPA depending upon who you talk to.

Pours an unappealing pale, hazy yellow with a lot of cream colored floaties. Mild, fruity aroma reminiscent of pineapple. Taste follows suit - pineapple, mango, a bit of dank from the hops. Nothing that really differentiates it from the glut of hazy IPA's on the market that all basically taste the same. Priced at $13.79 for a 4 pack. It's not a bad beer but probably not something I'd revisit.
