Can to snifter. Smudged date on the bottom, I can't make out what it says, I'm guessing because of a nitro can, this probably shouldn't matter.
The appearance had an absolutely amazing looking pure black color with the appropriate look for a nitro infused porter. That thin cap of an eggshell white foamy head was level just like a Guinness.
The flavor had an luxurious blend of sweet ashy roasted coffee character with huge amounts of milk chocolate shavings and dark toast. Touch of dark chocolate bitterness on the back end. Mild aftertaste of rich milk chocolate and sweet coffee.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation nice and low as expected. Damn nice sweet smooth and expected finish, appropriate stickiness.
Overall, I almost didn't add this and thought this was "Goodnight Moon" by these guys but after that second look at the can, it is in fact it's own beer. Maybe not necessarily a different recipe just 'nitro infused.' But now I need to find "Goodnight Moon."
