Sampling a cold 16 oz can, purchased at the brewery a few weeks ago. Im pouring the beer into my .5L dimple mug.
The beer pours a clear golden color with a fizzy bleached white head of 1 cm foaming up from the pour. This foam fades to a thin edge layer quickly after settling into my glass. Some lazy streams of carbonation rise to the surface.
The aroma of this beer is clean and straightforward with some grainy malt notes, a bit of biscuity scent and some spicy hop character. Simple and appropriate.
The first sip reveals a medium to light body with fine and tingly carbonation. Easy drinking physical characteristics.
Flavor starts of with some caramel sweetness and mixes with biscuit notes then rolls to a bit of a spicy hop bite and finishes with a toasted malt flavor that lingers after each swallow.
None of the flavors are robust but all are pleasant and work for the style. Im glad to have tried this brew and would drink it again for sure.

Festbier style, draft at the brewery
Nice rich creamy frothy head with great retention, mostly med orange color
Nose sweet malt, cracker cereal biscuity like malt with a little toasty, little fruity as well, light herbal hop
Taste brings grainy malts, semi sweet almost syrupy like, toasty, more cracker and cereal, fair sweetness, bitterness starts light then increases to a med/med-high bitterness late, herbal hop flavor, lingering hop bitterness on the mild sticky dry finish
Mouth is med bod, med foamy carb
Overall it's ok but nothing special, very much an American style festbier and nothing like the real German ones
