Canned 5/6/20 although I picked it up at the brewery a couple weeks ago
Pours a dark almost black colored frothy 1 finger head with great retention, nice foamy lacing, jet black color
Nose brings plenty of roasted malt, even gets a touch smokey, some dark chocolate and a little wafer cookie, a bit of spicy earthy hop
Taste brings roast again, big roast that gets a tad acrid burnt, a bit smokey, little creamy milk and dark chocolate, mild earthy spicy hops, dry finish almost bone dry, little creamy lactose sugar I think, a bit of bitterness
Mouth is med bod but quite creamy like a milk stout, med foamy carb
Overall not bad, a bit on the slight acrid side but ok for the style, a bit too milky creamy towards milk stout but not necessarily a bad thing
