Lucidity was created as a part of our “8 is The New 5” line of 8% brews. Brewed with Pilsner malt and dry-hopped with Citra, El Dorado, and Idaho-7 hops, the result is a CLEAN and CRISP but juicy American IPA. A fantastic compliment to our hazy NEIPA offerings.

In for the night, two pint cans were combined into a clear glass liter mug. At least all of one and most of the other until, because of an abundant head, there was no more room. A nice hoppy smell, toward the dank side, joined with the visual. The color is a bright and dense orange-amber and the dissipating head, white. The taste is solid and well balanced. A substantial malt body that's not too sweet, but disappears at the finish, carries plenty of hoppy notes, They are more earthy than dank and at a good midway point between dry and resinous. The finish is dry, with a little lingering bitterness, perfect in an IPA. Almost absent is glass lacing as this liter drains quickly. There's almost no evidence of the 8% ABV other than a feeling of warmth and, for the moment, all being right in the world. Repeat, in for the night.

16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours a dull, burnt orange with a slight haze to the clarity and a tight quarter inch bright white head. Nose suggests candied citrus and herbal noes. Taste consistent with nose with a slightly medicinal bite at the back. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a slight oiliness to the texture and an assertive, somewhat prickly carbonation. Overall, decent, but nothing to write home about.

Pours a vibrant orange-amber color with a fluffy head. Nose is slightly dank hops, pretty enticing. Taste is nicely balanced hops with a perfect malt backbone to back them up. Mouthfeel creamy and full. From the can:
"Lucidity is a bright American IPA brewed with a pilsner malt base that is generously dry-hopped with El Dorado, Idaho-7 and Citra, yielding a super juicy hop profile. This thirst quencher finishes clean and crisp."
It doesn't disappoint and is dangerously easy to toss back a couple. Recommended.
