Pours a browish black with a 1/2F head and light lacing.
Smells of roasted malt and coffee.
Tastes of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate with a tangy lightly bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Dry mouthfeel.
This is a decent sipper. I guess I was expecting a sweeter and smoother brew that was an oatmeal stout. This one has more of a wheat tanginess.

I’ve had a decent amount of beers from Greater Good, but I’ve ultimately skipped over their Stouts until now. Oatmeal Stouts usually call my name so I had to check this one out and see what it has to offer
Pours nearly pitch black with 3 fingers of dark tan head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The coffee combining with notes from the malt in the nose really makes this reminiscent of a latte. I’m picking up on aromas of light roast coffee, cocoa powder, sweet caramel, brown bread, vanilla, and fudge
In taste it’s a bit more roasty than I expected from the initial smell. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting fruity coffee, roasted malt, cocoa powder, rich oatmeal, toffee, and light caramel. The swallow brings notes of acidic coffee, cocoa powder, burnt brown sugar, toffee, and light vanilla
A medium full body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a rich and creamy beer. Finishes mostly dry with a roasty bitterness
This is really solid stuff. Not quite what I was expecting but the body really carries it forward more than anything else

Poured into a 16 oz tulip glass canned on 1/19/22. Pours a very dark near black with a finger plus sticky light brown head that leaves some thin streaks of lace, with nice retention. 4.25
Aroma is dry coffee grounds, vanilla bean, cocoa nibs, toffee, and caramel. 4
Taste roasted coffee, vanilla, cocoa, toffee, and caramel. 4
Mouthfeel is above average, soft gentle carbonation, maybe a little dry, and at 8% it goes down rather easy. 4
Overall this is nice, nothing to cheer for, but a solid Imperial Stout. Worth a shot. 4

Pours a big frothy 1 finger thick brown head with great retention, lots of sticky lacing, very dark basically black color
Nose starts with tons of dark chocolate, cocoa, a bit fudgey, choc ganache even, then into espresso and fresh coffee, a bit of nougat, chocolate marshmallow, candy bar notes, a creamy chocolate oatmeal with a bit of roasted malt,
Taste thick dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, charred malt notes, into fair coffee, a bit of espresso but more like rich nutty dark roasted coffee, creamy thick oatmeal, a bit more of the nougat, caramel and burnt marshmallow, getting a touch acrid, but layers of chocolate again, dark chocolate, cocoa, burnt hot cocoa, a bit of bitterness from roast and a touch of spicy hop, mild dry finish, hint of alcohol but smooth
Mouth is full bod, rich chewy like and a touch fudgey even, a lighter carb, very light warming alcohol
Overall pretty nice, thick oatmeal stout with lots of layers of dark chocolate, and nice espresso and coffee, very little alcohol, although it does get a touch burnt/acrid like, but otherwise quite nice
