Canned 12/??/21. It is smuged on the datw stamp
I’ve had one Fruited Sour from GG before and it was pretty good, just nothing special. This fruit combo intrigues me tho, as it’s one of my favorite pie flavors. Let’s see if they can successfully turn that flavor profile into a beer
Pours a hazy burnt orange with 2 fingers of white head that fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing
It’s definitely pie-like in the nose, but it’s rather subdued. I’m picking up on aromas of dehydrated strawberry, tart rhubarb, bready malt, light brown sugar, and lemon juice
It’s more substantial in taste, and I have to give it a decent amount of credit for actually having strawberry come through; it’s a tough fruit in beer. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sour rhubarb, fresh strawberry, lemon juice, graham cracker, doughy malt, and light caramel. The swallow brings notes of juicy strawberry, lemon juice, sour rhubarb, graham cracker, and vanilla
A medium body pairs with aggressive prickly carbonation, resulting in a sharp beer. Finishes rather sticky but it hardly hurts the drinkability
Yeah, this is damn solid. Again, the fact that strawberry comes through as strongly as it does is commendable. I could put down a few of these despite the abv
