PULP Daddy X
Greater Good Imperial Brewi...
IPA - Imperial / Double New
Boozy, malty sweetness with a pineapple and floral hop soaked in honey and vodka. A very strange hop and malt flavor/balance. Wild all around the place. Smooth, but waay too soft and relaxed. Pulpy, is fair enough with oak barrel effects ??!! Sure.

Emptying the contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug, this produces a little too much stark white foam to be accurately described as a head. But, there have been far greater offenders. The foam quickly recedes to rest as a head on top of a dark apricot-amber, almost orange, liquid that is truly hazy. It smells slightly piney hoppy and little more. The mouthfeel is smooth, starting off the drinking sensations. The piney hop nose hit expands to a more resinous one, with bits of that pine, maybe even a hint of undefined citrus. There's some malt-like backbone that adds an appreciable layer to taste. It's not only sweet, but adds a slight earthy character, too. That's the finish, resinous hoppy and somewhat earthy. There's not much glass lace showing and the alcohol, obviously a decent level, only supports the overall taste. The mouthfeel is smooth and supple. This experiment is rated a success.
