Oatmeal Nugget Stout

Menu at brewery says to think of this as more of a black IPA. I agree the wooden bitterness from the hops and oatmeal put this into that realm. There is still a big chocolate roasted malt aspect to the nose and taste, though. This beer has a bit of chewiness without being heavy or sweet, and actually finishes a little dry and fairly smooth. A nice non-Imperial stout / Cascadian dark ale (though I’d say it’s more of a stout)
