Hopaluia pours a dark amber color, with a small, but long lasting, lacing head. Aroma is very earthy, very dark grainy. Flavor is the same, very earth, bitter, lots of grain; does have a strong flavor. Good body and feel. Overall, its earth, and the grain drowns anything else in it. Still not bad.

From the brewer..."Hopaluia? Hopluia? Hopalleuia?!!... utilizes a rare form of "dry hopping" in which hops are added directly to a secondary fermentation. The resulting aroma builds anticipation of a truly unique brew that heightens the senses....and has a spelling change once every 8-9 years. Now brewed with permission by Thunderhead Brewing."
