A: Deep chestnut brown color has a slight haze. The small off-white cap starts firm, but dissolves fairly quick. Leaves the occasional spot of lace.
S: Nutty, with a walnut quality. Earth and citrus aromas bring up the rear.
T: A dry toasted maltiness starts things out. A mild bitterness comes on in the form of black tea, plus a very faint hint of lemon and grapefruit. Finishes slightly acidic, but otherwise clean.
M: The light body is a touch chalky and has the right amount of fizz.
D: This beer is light, but still substantial. Not so much a summer refresher as a simple session beer. I liked it, but it didn't blow me away. Still a solid effort, however.
