We took one of our favorite styles, the American Lager, and replaced a large portion of the malt-bill with Nebraska corn. We dialed back the bitterness and lowered the alcohol-by-volume ever so slightly, but kept the full flavor that Thunderhead fans would expect from our Schaben's Pilsner.

Headlight pours a darker golden color, with a small, long lasting, lacing head. Aroma is clean and crisp, lots of two row barley. Flavor is also light and clean, a hint of butter, malty, a little sweet, and a hint of spice. Good body and feel. Overall, a very good pils, nice flavors, nice little spice.

Served with a pale yellow hue, ultra translucent, quick to dissolve small white head, no lace… (It looked like dead yellow water). The nose is sweet like cream corn (from the malt and adjuncts?). Not inviting, not offensive either. Sweet tasting, no hops for bittering or balance. Boring palate, one-dimensional, not for a BA. Light-medium body, appropriate carbonation, sweet finish. Ultimately this beer is too thin and too sweet, not recommended. For a light beer, well, I have had worse… and better.
