Clear amber beer with a medium head that last a while and leaves ok lacing.
The aroma is of caramel and biscuit with citrus and pine notes.
The taste is a little hoppier than most amber styles which is welcome. Nice citrus and pine notes on a good malty backbone.
Overall, a nice sessionable beer.

This is a very good amber ale. Usually not a style I tend to be too interested in, but my brother had one with his meal that I tried a drink of, and I thought it was very well crafted for such a so-so style. We ended up taking a growler with us to Colorado, among a few others.
The beer pours to a nice coppery amber color. Only a slight haze, though mostly clear. Huge fluffy head with a good retention. Laces the whole way down the glass. There is a nice sparkle from the carbonation as well.
The smell is probably the weakest link. Has a mild bready, biscuity, and caramel malt profile to it, as well as a hint of floral hops. Seems a bit subdued.
The flavor is a little more bold than the aroma. Great malt profile. Doughy, biscuity, and caramelized malts. Crisp noble hops finish with a bit of a bitter bite. Spicy and floral. Very well balanced. This would make a great session beer.
The body is medium with a sharp carbonation. Very crisp. Doesn't have a lasting aftertaste, leading me to believe it would do very well at cutting the palate with a meal. Very easy to get through a growler, even at high altitude.

Sampled on location. Poured an amber color, what a shock. A mostly clear but some cloudiness as well. The head and carbonation both were light leaving not much foam nor any lacing to speak of.
The taste is light with some basic malt taste. Background tastes of toasty and caramel flavors are light. Not much with hops but some subtle earth tones are present. There is a honey like taste at the end that mixes with a slight tart flavor. Kind of like a granny apple.
The body is light but easy to drink. Light on fizzy taste, but easy to drink none the less. Overall this is a beer you could drink all night with no problems.

From my notes...
Good color, some lacing. orange-brown, fairly clear. Served kind of cold so not much odor, but some vague, general maltiness was apparant. Taste malty and smooth, pleasant aftertaste of caramel and hops. Eminently drinkable and another winner from Thunderhead.

Served with a tanned-tawny hue; small white head with quality retention and decent lacing. Faintly fruity nose, malty, caramel notes as well. Tasty palate, toasty malt works well with the caramel influences
slight and well-placed bitterness. Nicely done. Pleasant finish, crisp (for an ale), non-sweet caramel, malt. Moderately medium body, good carbonation, very drinkable, session beer material
Id gladly have another one!
