22oz bottle thanks to Steve. First of the night at the RIS tasting, looking for a new brewery. Underwhelming, not a good way to start the night. Black pour, small ring of head. Some barrel notes, sweet aroma. Taste brought in a bit too much more sweetness, and some lacto, which didn’t seem to fit. Just didn’t add up. Possibly infected

12oz bottle, served in a snifter glass. Pours a dark black body, one finger offwhite head, good retention and no lacing. Smell is cocoa puffs, milk chocolate, touch of bourbon and oak. Not a whole lot more, though reasonably chocolate-forward. Flavour is a nice chocolate and lactose, slight bourbon and oak, not much more. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, milk chocolate on the finish. Nothing special, by any means. Don't buy into the hype if you're thinking this will be like an official 3 Sons beer.
