L - pitch black with almost no head. Very viscous from the bottle
S - first thing you pick up is vanilla bean, definitely not artificial at all
T - Vanilla, bourbon, toffee, chocolate (light amount). To me, they knocked the vanilla out of the park. On par with '13/'16 ba vanilla shake for taste, but this has a better mouth feel
F - very viscous feel. Not quite "motor oil" but not thin either. Great balance that sticks after the first sip
Overall - my favorite beer in 2017, so far. Haven't had some of the whales, but at under 300 bottle at a brewery only release...I can't wait to see what my cellared one tastes like in a year.
