L) Pours a light honey/amber color with a small white creamy head. Ok lacing.
S) The nose is floral as stated in the description, and the chamomile is quite evident. Slight creamy banana and pleasant citrus also permeate the nose.
T) The taste is chamomile forward, which I love. There is a slight acidic spritz to the brew, as if a smidge of lemon juice was added, and lovely notes of clementine or tangerine. All of these floral and fruity notes are well balanced with a lightly sweet honey like maltiness.
F) The mouth-feel on this one is a fairly creamy and full one. Medium carbonation. Quite nice.
O) I really enjoy this one. It's a bit heavy, but what it is bringing to the table is good. You have to be ready for the chamomile though, this is a floral bomb.

On tap:
Pours a little darker than expected, leaning towards amber, but I'll go with dark golden. Light haze, and a near-nitro looking head (though a thin cap-it isn't leaving).
A decent wheat and banana-like initial nose. There's a little bubblegum in there as well. A little meadow floral note grows as I drink.
The bubblegum seems to have a little more say in the taste. It's leaning a little sweet in that regard, but there is a counter. There's a little strawberry and apple cider tang to counter. The banana hits later and at this point the whole thing combines into a strawberry-banana yogurt kind of thing.
A very interesting brew, not the typical witbier I've come across, and the chamomile addition is likely to blame. Though I get various characteristics I expect, they combine weirdly. But not badly. This isn't entirely meant to be traditional, so that should be considered.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an orange-ish color and a cloudy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing here.
S: An okay, if somewhat muted, aroma of coriander, citrus, wheat, and a little yeast.
T: Tasted of some mild wheat notes, light Belgian-style yeast (not as much as expected), a fair amount of citrus (lemon, in particular), and some spices (coriander, cloves) as well. The problem with the flavor here is that it's simply too flat and watery. None of the elements are pushed far enough.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a thin, watery finish. Light-bodied.
O: Kind of a disappointing beer. I've had worse witbiers, but also better.

Trapezium Brewing Co. "Lucky 47 White Ale"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle without production coding or freshness dating
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Virginia Beach, VA
Notes via stream of consciousness: Hazy golden body beneath a finger-thick head of bright white that settles steadily. The aroma is unusual, I was expecting more of a Belgian-style witbier but this is different. It's floral and fruity, not really that spicy, and not particularly "Belgian". The flavor is more "Belgian" and follows with a big apple-like fruitiness, some woody spiciness (I'm guessing coriander), a touch of clove, and some banana as well ~ Chamomile is also listed on the label, and knowing that it's in there it's easy to find. It reminds me of the Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time tea. It's moderately bitter as expected, and finishes semi-dry as some residual wheaty malt fades, the banana note rises, and the soft spice lingers. Medium light in body and gently crisp with a moderate carbonation level. It's unusual as I said before, but it remains within the witbier realm ~ I don't doubt that someone might not call it out as a witbier at first taste, but I'd find it hard to believe that anyone would fight against that designation. Looking back the head is just a collar now but it does leave some lacing behind. Overall it's really quite charming, and interesting.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance was a pale yellow with a medium sized white head. The aroma was a faint smell of hops and grass. The taste was very bland. An average beer.

Wow. No reviews. OK, here goes. Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a nonic pint glass. Pale in color. A lot of lacing. The smell was kinda average. The taste was fine. I have had a few other white ales better than this but I enjoyed this one and will definitely buy it again.
