Hey not too bad really. I expected much worse.

Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Copper body with a medium size head. Decent hop profile and while one dimensional flavor wise (hop and light caramel malt are really the only flavor) it’s still drinkable if thin.

Pours a lightly hazy full copper-red color and is topped by a thin pale tan colored head. The aroma has notes of citrus and a note of pine that comes to dominate the aroma. There is some other weird aromatic note that I cannot quite place. The taste is lightly sweet up front with a sharp hop note that carries through to the finish of the beer. There is a definite citrus note here, but as in the aroma, the pine character from the hops is the most noticeable aspect. The maltiness shows up in a light caramel character and a hint of toasted malt notes in the finish. This is definitely a nice example of a pale ale, no off flavors at all, but it seems to be missing that bit of something that would make it a great pale ale. It is quite tasty and enjoyable and I would be happy to drink a couple pints of this beer.

Crystal clear golden peach hues with a single carbonation head rising to greet a tight yet thin foamy ivory head scooting to a collar ring.

Light autumn leaf malt scents with a suggestion of hops balance.

First swigs: Bigger malt than hop profile, yet balanced to a 60/40 mix of malt vs. hop. Best hops guess? Cascade. Maybe a touch of Willamette. Delicately sweet & lingering malty with a rye bread aftertaste.

Crisp and "zesty" feel with a medium bodied ale. Drinkability took a nose dive after getting cloying.

Last swigs: Waffles malts & lingering hops.

I will admit that I didn't want to like this beer because of the name and the picture/packaging on the tap, but we should all have open minds and I learned another lesson. That damn lesson I've already "learned" about not judging a book bay its cover or some shit like that. Anyway back to the review.

Served and orangish, yellow honey in color, with a slight white head and fantastic lacing.

Aromas of hops, spice, and malt pour out of this beer. Very floral and full of fresh hop scent.

Taste was nearly as good as the nose. Medium body that starts with sweet malt and quickly progresses to spice and hops. A wonderful balance of hops that is almost enough for even the biggest hophead, but not too much for just the novice hop taster. Finishes clean, crisp and very tasty.

The best offering there. Shipyard should jump all over this, bottle it, and send it out to the masses. Might I suggest a name and packaging change? Tanlines? Seriously? That's the best you could do? It's all pasty white tourists in Orlando, come on!
