Look: Cloudy copper with amber highlights when held up to the light. Small white head that doesn't stay long.

Smell: Sweet, doughy malt. Not much else.

Taste: Following the nose, biscuity malt. A very slight hint of bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Slightly thicker than average, but normal levels of carbonation.

Overall: While not bad, it's a very one-not kind of drink.

A - Poured into a standard pint glass. Color is a dark copper and a little bit of amber. White head the cleared up pretty quickly in my glass

S - Noticeable malt smell and some smokiness.

T - Smooth, malty, just a little bit hoppy. Also has a tiny bit of an alcohol flavor on the back end.

F - Nothing special, but nothings wrong with it either. pretty standard mouth feel for a red ale.

O - Not bad. A little simple but a nice and easy beer to drink.

Cloudy amber with a decent head that maintains well throughout the drink.

The malt smell is overpowering, but there is a hint of smokey sweetness in there though.

It tastes like it smells, but the smokey sweetness comes through a little better with a slightly citrus taste in the middle.

It felt quite carbonated to me, and there was an alcohol finish that wasn't very great. With a slightly different flavor profile the carbonation could work, but it just didn't seem to work for me on this beer.

A dark copper body with red tints and no head. A heavy malt smell with some toasted malts in there, but a little overpowering. Has minor citric hop bite to go with a semi-sweet malt taste. A tad simple, and the finish is slightly unimpressive due to minor alcohol burn. Not my favorite from OBC.

Smells of caramel malt and slightly smoked peat. Red/amber in color with a huge white head that sticks around. Nice caramel malt profile and even some subtle burnt brown sugar notes and smokey peat to give it at least some body and thickness. Not bad all in all if a little thin in body and overall taste.

This beer is way overcarbonated, I have 1.5 inches of beer and 5 inches of foam in my Duvel Tulip. The beer is a hazy, orange-amber color and is topped by the afore mentioned prodigious tan colored head. The aroma is a tad sharp and astringent with perhaps a hint of thin malt. The beer has a sweet maltiness to it up front that accentuates a fruitiness that is reminiscent of strawberries, plums, and a hint of cherry. The finish is a little astringent, and a little bitter. Overall this beer is pretty drinkable, it is most likely lightly infected, but if anything this is adding to the character of this beer. It tastes like a malty regular strength Belgian Ale.
