this toasted coconut porter pours a almost black, held up to the light it has hints of crimson with a tan head the disappears quickly. the smell is a full bodied porter with sweet coconut. the taste is a chocolate malty porter with a little hint of coconut. i really wish there was as much coconut in the flavor as the smell promised but there isnt. all in all though this is a good porter and the hint of coconut makes it a little different and worth a try.

A: two finger dark tan head head on a deep brown body, nice lacing, some head retention.
S: roasted malts, espresso and hint of brown sugar but light overall.
T: rich roasted malts, milk chocolate, brown sugar, light espresso and coconut.
M: medium body and moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: complex for the style and for this brewery. Very easy to drink, too dry of a finish for me for the taste and style. Lingers too long.

appearance: deep dark brown, nearly ebony color body
smell: sublte aromas, some roasted malt and some chocolate.
taste: Not picking up much coconut, toasted malt flavors, low ABV and UBU, sessionable
mouthfeel: medium bodied, on th elight side for a porter
drinkability: a little watery, decent but not my favorite.
