Pumpkin spiced stout. Not a pumpkin beer. Slightly dry and rye bread forward. Nice twist on a stout.

Grateful Pumpkin Ale pours a dark brown with an off white head from a thirty two ounce growler. I can definitely smell pumpkin like spices. The flavor is quite nice, they seem to have nailed the pumpkin pie flavor. From their beer menu it says they brewed this with a combination of caramel, roasted barley and chocolate malts and hopped with Magnum and Fuggles. They say they added ginger, cinnamon, all spice and pumpkin pie spice. Definitely quite drinkable (and I'm not generally a fan of pumpkin beers), worth a try, particularly if you like the style.
